  I was thinking what they mean by God’s name “meaning”...

  The meaning of Jehovah (or whatever you want to render YHWY) is the almighty God… Period…

  If by "meaning" they mean what ancient Hebrew speaking people understood by YHWY? I think the answer is the same they meant the almighty god…

  If they are referring to the root of the word I think their reasoning is very complicated for us and especially for someone living 5000 years ago… If YHWY is derived from a verb meaning “to become” I think it can simple mean “the Maker” or “the Creator” (as the “Becamer” of all things)… In that case why the WT has to complicate everything…

  But I’m not scholar neither English is my first language…

  Peak Publisher: This is not the same as Average Publisher numbers. It can be that more JW are lazy to submit their reports each month and elder push to get all of them together by August.

  Baptism: Ok… good increase… More JWs’ children getting baptized?

  Hours: More JWs reporting more hours. The “Not-at-home” slips must be running out.

  Regular Pioneers: More JWs doing more. Not new people from the field.

  Average Bible Studies: How many are for real? How many at the doorstep just for 10min.? How many JWs’ children?

  I think they will launch a new explanation for some of their Revelation book interpretations. As they did last year with most of Mathew 24, they will move some Revelation fulfillments to the future. It has not much sense to link the trumpets of Revelation to some pamphlets/conventions released/held in the twenties.

  Most people who “heard” those trumpets, or at least was old enough to understand the message, is dead by now. So why don’t move this to a future event?

  Recently I remembered an announcement that was made back in 2008/9 at morning worship in bethel.

  A letter from the GB was read inviting all bethelites to submit ideas that save money to the organization. Also, it was said (I'm not sure if at the same letter or in another instance) that branches shouldn't keep savings higher than what they needed for 2 months of running.

  I didn't thought much about this at that time but I think it explains some of the decision that have been taken recently.

  Was someone else at bethel at that time that remembers this?

  I remember that when I was at Bethel I saw a list of all the branches, including some that were not publicly advertise (Turkey, Lebanon, and Malaysia).

  You're right Laika, they are blaming the victim with their argument.

  As a child I was taught the story from that book, and even thought there were three friends, then the dvd drama enforced that idea, but if you just read the Bible you get the correct picture... not the WT picture
